Nuraghe Palmavera is an interesting example of complex-nuraghe. Its structure mainly consists of two towers. The first one, placed in the middle, is the oldest, dated back to the XV century AD. Later, an elliptic-shaped perimeter of walls was added to it, together with a tower to protect the entrance. Around the nuraghe there was a small village, which is still today submitted to archaeological excavating and studies. Its surroundings offer to all enthusiasts 

great archaeological interest, for its position at the centre of a huge area comprehending many other nuraghes, minor for structure but not for importance. Moreover in early sixties, during the exploration and restoration works of the complex, many archaeological finds such as ceramics, bronzes were discovered by archaeologists. Nowadays they are kept in Sassari’s and Cagliari’s archaeological museums.
